SMS Consent Information

Elera Health offers optional text message (SMS) notifications to help patients and providers stay informed about appointments and care-related updates. This page explains how SMS consent works, what types of messages you may receive, and how to manage your preferences.

SMS messaging is optional and not required to receive care or use the Elera Health platform.

How to Opt In

You may choose to receive SMS notifications by checking the SMS consent checkbox within your intake form, scheduling flow, patient account settings, or other designated consent areas.

Your consent is voluntary and requires a clear, affirmative opt-in action.

Example opt-in text:

“I agree to receive non-marketing text messages from Elera Health related to appointments, scheduling, intake instructions, and care coordination. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. SMS consent is optional and not required to receive care.”

Types of Messages You May Receive

If you opt in, Elera Health may send non-marketing, service-related SMS messages, including:

  • Appointment reminders
  • Schedule updates or confirmations
  • Intake form links
  • Provider or care coordination messages
  • Day-of appointment notifications

We do not send promotional or marketing SMS.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your interactions with Elera Health, but generally:

  • 1–4 messages per appointment
  • Additional messages only when needed for care coordination

How to Opt Out

You can opt out of SMS at any time:

  • Reply STOP to stop receiving messages
  • Reply HELP for assistance

After opting out, you will receive one final message confirming your unsubscribe request.

You may continue using all Elera Health services without SMS messaging.

Cost

Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.

Consent Logging

When you opt in, Elera Health records:

  • The date and time of consent
  • The form or page where consent was provided
  • The phone number used
  • The IP address (if applicable)

This is required for compliance with TCPA, CTIA, and carrier rules.
